Adrian Kayvan Pasdar nasce il 30 Aprile del 1965 a Pittsfield, in Massachusetts, da padre iraniano e madre tedesca. Inizialmente era intento a divenire un grande giocatore di football ma un incidente d'auto l'ha ridotto in sedia a rotelle.
Una volta ristabilitosi capisce che non può più giocare e così inizia a lanciarsi nel mondo dello spettacolo. Ha partecipato ad alcuni telefilm come "Desperate housewives" nel ruolo di David Bradley ,"Touched by an angel", "Judging Amy" e "Mysterious Ways".
La sua carriera inizia però con il film Top Gun interpretando Chipper. Ha diretto "Beyond Belief" e "Cement". Attualmente ha due figli cresciuti con la moglie Natalie Maines.
