Marshall è nato ad Austin in Texas, USA. Recita per la prima volta partecipando a "The History of the Devil". Nella scelta del college trova un bivio infatti ha sempre pensato di fare il calciatore professionista. Rinuncia al sogno e decide di studiare arte a New York oppure recitazione a Los Angels. Ottiene varie perti in film e telfilm come "Hostage", "DISHDOGZ", "Shallow Ground" e "Little Black Book", "The Practice", "Without a Trace" e "Malcom in the middle".
