Marcia Cross nasce a Marlborough, in Massachusets, il 25 Marzo del 1962. La donna è molto conosciuta grazie al ruolo della Dottoressa Kimberly Shaw nel telefilm di successo "Melrose Place". Altra partecipazione molto importante è stata nel ruolo di Linda Abbott nella serie televisiva "Everwood". Fin da piccola Marcia ha avuto una grande predisposizione per la recitazione, passione nata a partire dalla recita scolastica "The witch of blackbird pond". Il suo primo ruolo nel piccolo schermo è stato con "The Edge Of Ninght". Inm seguito, Marcia lascia New York per trasferirsi a Los Angeles in cerca di successo. Giunta nella nuova località trova lavoro come una delle protagoniste nel film tv “The Last Days of Frank and Jessie James”. Riguardo la sua assunzione nel telefilm "Melrose Place", i produttori erano intenzionati a darle solo un episodio ma a causa della sua bravura decisero di prolungare la sua permanenza di altri episodi. Ultimamente Marcia ha anche conseguito un ulteriore laurea in Psicologia. A partire dal 2004 ha fatto parte del cast di Desperate Housewives.
