Henry Ian Cusick nasce a Trujillo, in Peru, il 17 Aprile del 1967 da padre scozzese e madre peruviana.
L'uomo è un grande attore teatrale e anche in generale. Ha studiato alla Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
Prima di essere accettao nel telefilm Lost, Henry ha partecipato a molte compagnie ricevendo molti riconoscimenti e proposte di lavoro.
Attualmente vive alle Hawaii, causa le riprese del telefilm, come altri attori della serie televisiva.
