Naveen William Sidney Andrews nasce il 17 gennaio del 1969 a Londra, in Inghilterra.
La sua grande popolarità è dovuta al film, vincitore di ben nove premi Oscar e non solo, "Il Paziente Inglese" ma solo grazie al telefilm Lost, trasmesso dalla ABC, ha raggiunto il meritato successo.
Fin da piccolo Naveen ha manifestato una grande passione per la recitazione e decide così di studiare alla Guildhall, prestigiosa scuola londinese.
Assieme agli studi, Naveen partecipa anche a numerose rappresentazioni teatrali fino al giorno del debutto con il film indipendente "London Kills Me".
L'uomo è il maggiore di tre fratelli di una famiglia di origine indiana. Naveen ha da sempre dimostrato un debole per le donne più grandi di lui e all'età di sedici anni si innamora della sua professoressa Geraldine Feakins, con il quale ha il suo primo figlio.
Il suo passato è molto turbolento e di una vita tra alcool e droga. La sua vita sembra ormai in declino, ma per amore della sua professione riesce a disintossicarsi presso Los Angels.
In questa città può ricominciare la sua nuova vita e fin da subito riesce a decollare con il film "Il Paziente Inglese".
