Nicole Evangeline Lilly nasce a Fort Saskatchewan, in Alberta, il 3 agosto del 1979 figlia del padre economista e della madre estetista.
La donna ha sempre dimostrato un carattere timido ma nonostante ciò sul set da prova di grandi capacità.
Lilly ha dimostrato, fin da piccola, una spiccata attenzione ai problemi sociali e all'universita ha anche fondato un associazione riguardante i diritti dell'uomo.
Ella, prima di intraprendere la sua carriera di modella-attrice, è stata una volontaria nella giungla delle Filippine per delle associazioni umanitarie. In seguito ha lavorato anche come hostess per una compagnia canadese.
La sua carriera inizia però quando la donna si reca nel centro di Kelowna; infatti vi è anche Jeff Palffy, un agente di moda, che le propone la carriera di modella.
In poco tempo Lilly diventa anche attrice e si dedica alla partecipazione nei molti spot anche per far fronte alle spese dell'università.
Attualmente vive alle Hawaii a causa del lavoro per le riprese del telefilm Lost il quale ha anche portato alla giovane donna un nuovo amore (Dominic Monaghan/ Charlie Pace in Lost).
Nicole è in continua ascesa di carriera e grazie alla sua bellezza gli è valsa l'entrata in classifica nel magazine Maxim.
